How to contribute to the Register

Updated: Sep 11, 2025

HOW TO GET YOUR WORK ON

THE REGISTER

...

The Register is a one-of-its-kind blog for psychology students to publish their own articles and research.

It is an incredible asset for students' personal statement, demonstrating aptitude for writing and passion for the subject.

But how do you get on it?

Only two roles are able to publish to the Register:

Researchers and Writers.

Members that hold either of these roles can submit a post here:

Once submitted, all content within the submission is reviewed by an administrator.

This is to avoid misinformation, breaches of ethical guidelines in research and risks to safeguarding.

Submission rules and guidelines can be viewed here.

If you do not hold either of the two essential roles, you can liaise with someone who does to help contribute to a collaborative article or research project.

...

Members should be aware that their submission may be altered or paraphrased in order to professionalise and efficiently layout the content of the Register.

They will be credited as the writer at the top of the article with a link to their profile.

If they wish for their submission to be anonymous, they must specify as such at either the bottom or the top of their submission.
